Katy Perry y Pokémon se unen en la nueva canción “Electric”
Este 2021 se cumplieron 25 años de Pokémon, y como parte de las celebraciones de este aniversario, The Pokémon Company había anunciado unas colaboraciones musicales muy especiales. Es así que hoy Katy Perry presenta “Electric”, su nuevo sencillo y video musical creado especialmente para Pokémon 25: El Álbum.
El video musical fue filmado en Hawaii y nos muestra a Katy y Pikachu disfrutando de unas vacaciones. Después de explorar por un rato, llegan a un faro en el que viajan al pasado a donde se encuentran con sus versiones jóvenes donde Pikachu, es apenas Pichu y Katy está en los inicios de su carrera.
“Cuando visité Pokémon Café mientras estaba de gira por Japón, me puse nostálgica. Aquello me devolvió a mis años escolares. Así que, cuando me invitaron a formar parte de las celebraciones por el 25 aniversario junto a Post Malone y J Balvin, me entusiasmé muchísimo”, dijo Katy Perry. “Los temas que aborda la canción, como la resiliencia y el despertar de tu luz interior, han guiado mi vida y, además, están muy presentes en la historia y los personajes de Pokémon. Pikachu es la forma evolucionada de Pichu, de modo que en el video musical se nos ve a Pikachu y a mí, en el presente, junto a nuestras versiones más jóvenes; Pichu, en su caso. Ambos evolucionamos y, aun así, mantenemos la esencia de nuestro carácter alegre”.
